» New York City Green Festival

Location:  Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

For this event we’ll be working with Stuyvesant Environmental Club! We’ll help by staffing resource recovery stations, educating attendees about recycling and composting, and maximizing compost and recycling efforts. Feel free to sign up for all three shifts!

We will be working on the green team shifts. Please look through this volunteer handbook and sign this waiver.

» Puppetry Arts Family Festival

Date:  Sat, April 25, 2015 (8:00AM - 12:00PM, 12:00PM - 4:00PM)
Location:  J.J. Byrne Playground (Enter on 4th Street, 5th Avenue)

We’ll be working with Puppetry Arts, who hosted one of our recent events, Taste of 5th Avenue. For this event we will be helping out with crafts, games, the bounce house, and more! They will also be feeding us, so look forward to that!

This event is on the same day as the New York City Green Festival.

» March of Dimes - Walk for Babies

Date:  Sun, April 26, 2015 (8:30AM for Registration, 10:00AM for the Start of the Walk)
Location:  Lincoln Center Area, Columbus Avenue at 62nd Street

Come walk at the March for Babies with us this year! Every day, thousands of babies are born prematurely and often very sick. We’re walking to raise money to support March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. Let’s all help give all babies a healthy start!

» 2015-2016 Committee Head Applications

Calling all members who want to be more involved within put home club! Sign up to lead one of our committees and help our club run more efficiently this service year! Detailed information on what is required of each committee head can be found here. General information about each committee can be found here. This is open to all current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who have paid dues and are in good standing with Key Club International. Once again, please keep in mind that the application is due by 11:59PM on Saturday, May 2nd. We will not be accepting any applications after that date. The application is part one of the selection process. Part two will be an interview conducted by Sissi (President) and Nicole (Vice President), as well as the cabinet members affiliated with that committee. » Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer

Location:  The Bandshell, Central Park

The Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer is a 1.5 mile walk long loop in Central Park. The NYC walk has had students from more than 50 tri-state schools and has hosted over 1,500 walkers! Stuyvesant Key Club will be participating in to show its support for pediatric cancer research!

» 36th Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival

Date:  Sun, May 3, 2015 (9:00AM - 5:00PM)
Location:  Chinatown BID Office

Come and help out Chinatown BID and CAPA (Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans) with their annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Festival! During this event, we will be helping mostly with setup (moving supplies over, hanging up banners, arranging tables/chair, putting up tents, putting together a stage, carrying over crops, etc), manning the different fun activities, and cleanup.

» Team NPF Walk for New York

Date:  Sun, May 3, 2015 (6:00AM - 10:00AM)
Location:  The New York Botanical Garden

We’ll be helping Team NPF (National Psoriasis Foundation) to raise money for treating Americans living with psoriasis and psoriatic diseases. Team NPF needs help with setup, t-shirt distribution, handing out food, working at water stations, and breakdown.

» NAMI Walk

Location:  12 Fulton Street

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. We’ll be greeting walkers, handing out food and water, and be stationed along the walk route.

» Japan Day

Date:  Sun, May 10, 2015 (10:00AM - 6:00PM)
Location:  Central Park Bandshell

During this event we’ll be helping with tent setup, greeting and guiding visitors, crowd control, cleanup, and other duties! Japan Day will have food and activity tents, as well as a stage program displaying a wide range of Japanese culture so be sure to come! More information about this event can be found here.

The coordinators are requiring us to have waivers ready by April 10th so please send in those waivers by April 9th if you’re interested in participating. We won’t be accepting any more waivers after April 9th!! You can find the waiver here. Please complete the waivers, scan them, and then send them to us!

» NYC Take Steps Walk

Location:  South Street Seaport

We’ll be helping Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America in their Take Steps Walk over the out during the event by cheering for runners, distributing food, breakdown of the event, and more. We will be arriving in the middle of the event after school.

» Key Club International Convention

Location:  Downtown Indianapolis

The biggest event of the Key Club year! Go to ICON to meet Key Clubbers from around the world. Registration is already open for the convention, so start thinking about whether or not you wish to attend. It will cost approximately $1150, and Lieutenant Governor Emily Li will send out more details regarding ICON as she receives them. You can find more info about the convention here.

The NY District of Key Club International will be attending the conference as a group. The total cost for the convention is $1,150.00 and includes airfare, hotel, several convention meals, and an ICON t-shirt. The registration form below and a deposit of $500.00 must be submitted by May 1st, 2015.
